HISTORY 

September, 1977. 

David Crandall and his twin sister Wendy were the children of a wealthy family whose yacht was sabotaged. His parents died during the shipwreck and the siblings were left alone, adrift. They were saved by Gaia, Mother Nature, the personification of the spirit of the Earth, and endowed with powers related to the forces of nature and her creatures. 

David became Kid Wonder, using his powers to fight crime and all those who damage the environment. The twins came under the legal guardianship of Victor Roberts, who was actually Captain Wonder, a hero who had also received special powers from Gaia. 

Together they formed the Wonders of Nature.

POWERS & WEAPONS 

When David shouts out Mother Nature's name ('GAIA!'), he transforms into Kid Wonder, endowed with superhuman strength, speed and endurance and control over the elemental forces and creatures of nature.
