HISTORY

Professor Warren, also known as Professor Supermind, created The Super-Machine which he later used to give his son, Dan, superhuman powers. The S-Machine awakened in Dan the power to manipulate magnetism, allowing him to fly and generate force fields around his body. The S-Machine also increased his regeneration capacity, extending his lifespan exponentially. Using his new powers along with his father's other inventions, Dan Warren fought crime and the threat of the Third Reicht. It was during World War II that, due to all the horrors he witnessed, Dan decided that humanity did not deserve a savior, but a strong leader who would prevent the same atrocities from happening again. And of course, who better than him? His father tried to dissuade him, they fought and in the dispute the Professor was crippled. Far from reconsidering his attitude, Dan became the machiavellian Vortex and began planning his ascent to the world throne. Since then, father and son have been waging a secret war with the world as the ultimate prize.

What side are you on?

POWERS & WEAPONS

Vortex has comprehensive control over all forms of magnetism and uses that control to manipulate any metal or achieve a variety of effects, such as simulating super-stregth and invulnerability, flight, firing lightning bolts and electromagnetic pulses, etc. The S-Machine in addition to his electromagnetic powers, also increased the regeneration capacity of his cells, making him virtually immortal, or at least something very close. Dan is a scientific genius whose brilliance rivals that of his own father.
