HISTORY

November, 1941. 

Bartholomew Kudasiewizc (Barry Kuda for short) was an adventurer from the United States, eventually becoming the champion of the underwater kingdom of Mermea, protecting it from both its hostile neighbors and incursions by people from the surface. He and his young friend Algernon "Algie" Kelp were draggeded into a whirlpool and swept to Mermea, where they underwent special treatment that gave them the ability to survive in the deep sea. Barry married Queen Merma and Algie, initially wishing to return to the United States, changed his mind when he met Maureen, Queen Mermea's protégé. During World War II, Barry joined the Battle Squadrton to stop the Axis powers. After the final victory, he returned to Mermea. 

POWERS & WEAPONS

Barry is a great fighter, with and without weapons. Thanks to the treatment he underwent on Mermea, he is stronger, faster, and tougher than a normal human. His senses and reflexes are also superior, as is his life expectancy and vigor.
