HISTORY 

Believing that the world needed a champion to defend it, Thor, son of Odin and supreme ruler of Valhalla, gave the human Grant Farrel the power of a god. Thor transformed Farrel into his avatar, making him promise that he would only use that power to fight evil in all its forms. Sadly, Adolf Hitler, Der Führer himself, was able to magically control Farrel when he was in his Thor form and used him against American superheroes. Frustrated, Farrel/Thor went into exile in space for decades (where he continued to live adventures yet to be told). Recently (2011), Farrell returned to Earth and ended up assembled in the group of heroes known as the Lawmen. 

POWERS & WEAPONS

When Farrel became Thor, he could fly (even in the vacuum of space), cast lightning, generate storms, was virtually invulnerable, and possessed colossal strength. Thor Odinson handed him his own magical hammer, Mjolnir, which was indestructible and had the ability to, like a boomerang, always return to his hand, no matter how far he might throw it. He also possessed the Megingjörð belt, which doubled his already mighty strength, and the Járngreipr gauntlet (essential for wielding Mjolnir).
