Hidden deep in the African jungle lies a ruined city, Nyumba Ya Hadithi. That city was once the domain of an albino tribe, the Watu Wa Majivu. In fact, the city became the last sanctuary for the albino people of Africa, who were hunted and killed by their dark-skinned fellow human beings, then dismembered and used in magical rituals. The city was attacked, besieged and destroyed and its inhabitants massacred and turned into amulets. With one exception, the young Prince Ndege, who under the guidance of the spirit of his father, King Khamani, would use the gifts of his kindred to "destroy all evil, for only good must survive". Thus, Prince Ndege became the Phantom Panther, a legend whispered in the four corners of Africa, the protector of the weakest and outcasts, the hunter who stalks evildoers in the light of the full moon.
POWERS & WEAPONS
The Phantom Panther's powers include clairvoyance (a hereditary ability in his family), and the speed, agility, strength, reflexes, and senses of a panther. He also wears the Sacred Dagger of Ashanti on his belt, forged from metal that is not of this world and capable of cutting through any matter.
