HISTORY 

Lilith appears in the Babylonian Talmud as the first wife of Adam. 

She left her husband after refusing to submit to him and would not return to the Garden of Eden after mating with the archangel Samael. To prevent Lilith and Samael's demonic children, the Lilin, from filling the world and destroying it, God castrated Samael. Since Lilith could no longer breed with Samael, she sought to mate with men. To many, Lilith is the embodiment of lust, which drives men crazy and into slaves, but she is also a powerful child-killing witch, with an unhealthy taste for helpless neonates. Her true form is that of a disgusting old crone, but she normally hides her real face behind an illusion of irresistible beauty.
