HISTORY

June, 1938.

Charlie Wilson was an American soldier serving as a night watchman at the Camp Courage military base.
Spotting suspicious activity in the armory, Charlie went to investigate only to have a saboteur throw a flare in his face, blinding and disfiguring him. The explosion of the bomb threw him several meters away. His heart stopped for 7 minutes. Charlie awoke at the base of the secret "Father Patriot" program where General Jaxon offered him the chance to become more than just a soldier. Father Patriot gave him a new face, and special training and equipment that made him a one man army. Thus it was that since then Charlie Wilson rested in a grave in Arlington and Major Victory, or agent ZX-5, was born to the world. ZX-5 was one of the main American assets during World War II, carrying out missions all over the world to fight against the Axis powers. He was also part of the Battle Squadron (his side mission was control/data collection of allied mystery men). Charlie and Lauren Mason (American Woman, also a member of the Squadron) fell in love and married shortly after the end of the war. ZX-5 was integrated into the organization chart of DANGER.

POWERS & WEAPONS

Major Victory possessed great charisma, but had no special powers. However, the Father Patriot Program gave him special training and equipped him with all sorts of high-tech gadgets, like his souped-up cane (capable of launching tear gas, electric shocks, etc.), or his own fighter jet.

HISTORY

August, 1941.

At the dawn of World War II, socialite Lauren Mason dreamed that the American Spirit had spoken to her, urging to defend America on the home front during the time of need that was to come. After awakening, Lauren discovered that it had been more than a dream and that she had indeed been granted extraordinary powers. She decided to use those powers to stop criminals and Axis saboteurs as the American Woman. Lauren uses the last verse of the national anthem as a mantra to force the transformation into her superpowered alter ego:

"And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
While the land of the free is the home of the brave."

Miss Mason was engaged to Dr. Corey Habot, but they never married. Instead, Lauren married Charlie Willson, aka Major Victory, whom she met in the Battle Squadron during World War II.

POWERS & WEAPONS

As the American Woman, Mason had superhuman strength, increased durability, and was capable of flight. She seemed to be able to stay in her superhuman form for an indefinite period of time.
