The Battle family has a tradition serving Uncle Sam.
The first was Commander Bill Battle, head of the Atomic Commandos and comrade-in-arms of the Sky Soldier during World War II. Commander Battle helped create DANGER.
Commander Battle's son, Captain Jack Battle fought and lost an eye in Viet-Nam, and stood out as one of the best DANGER operators during the Cold War. As Battlemaster he was in charge of assembling the team of superhumans known as the LAWMEN, directing them from the offices (and sometimes accompanying them on the battlefield).
POWERS & WEAPONS
All Battle men are born leaders, master tacticians, expert combatants and deadly marksmen. They are highly skilled in espionage, stealth, disguise, and infiltration. Jack Battle used a jetpack, which allowed him to fly at speeds of at least 100 mph, and seems to have a range limited only by Battle's own endurance. Jack's "Disolvo Gun" was a short range handgun weapon that can loosen molecular bonds, causing any kind of matter to melt. Battle generally won't use it on human opponents, the reason why he carried a Desert Eagle as first weapon.
