HISTORY 

Alana Silversides is of Algonquian descent. 

Her parents were victims of the Wendigo and the little girl was left alone in the woods of Pennsylvania. Miraculously, the girl was adopted and raised by a pack of timberwolves that had escaped extermination by humans. The girl grew wild and something else... 

As if something of the essence of the Wendigo lived in her. 

With the arrival of adulthood she became bolder, approaching populated areas, where she became an urban legend. 

Denny Dunsan, aka Bulldog, investigated that legend and was able to convince the savage creature to accompany him to civilization (not before having a good fight). Dunsan educated the young woman, who displayed an unparalleled hunger... for knowledge. 

To a large extent, she quickly adjusted to civilization, despite her temperament continuing to be savage. 

And when the children and descendants of other members of the Crime Smashers formed the Young Heroes Alliance, Dunsan encouraged her to join them. Alana established a romantic relationship with her teammate, Drew Lane aka Atom Wizard.

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Alana possesses strength, speed, stamina and heightened senses, in addition to her experience as a survivor and claws and fangs capable of ripping apart the toughest guy. She is prone to outbursts of uncontrollable berserker rage that make her even more deadly.

HISTORY

January, 1942. 

Bulldog was actually Denny Dunsan. When Denny was just a boy, his parents fell victim to a monstrous being created by Dr. Sheldon "Shelley" Freestone. Denny was crippled during that same attack. Dr. Freestone regretful and horrified by the actions of his creature, felt it was his duty to raise Denny and use all of his scientific knowledge to make the boy walk again. After a long and complicated biochemical treatment, Denny not only successfully regained mobility, but far exceeded the capabilities of the best Olympic athletes. Upon reaching adulthood, Denny made a self-imposed decision to either capture the monster or eliminate it. By ironies of fate, It was not Dunsan who ended the monster's rampages, but the union of other masked heroes, who would end up being the founders of the Crime Smashers.

The Bulldog nickname was tailor-made for Denny: strong, tenacious and terribly tough. A tireless fighter, always on the border between the human and the superhuman.
