HISTORY 

January, 1940. 

At the start of World War II, Jane Martin was a daring nurse for the International Red Cross. Over time, as international tensions and war progressed, she became a pilot and a spy. Jane was always willing to venture into dangerous territory to help save American soldiers, earning her a decoration for rescuing two airmen from the wreckage of a downed Douglas Bomber. In the act in which the medal was imposed, she met Drake Stevens (aka Air Man) and both fell in love instantly. Jane became Drake's partner and, thanks to artificial wings designed by her lover, into Air Woman. Both were part of the Crime Smashers and the Battle Squadron.

Jane was a skilled nurse, an ace pilot, a fierce and resourceful fighter, and a proficient handler of firearms (although she rarely did). She knew how to remain calm and collected in extremely dangerous situations and had a knack for getting herself into trouble. Her husband, Drake Stevens, equipped her with a pair of flying wings similar to the ones he used as Air Man.

HISTORY 

Uma Savage is the daughter of Dinsana Devi, alias Moon Maiden, and US Air Force Captain Steve Savage. She inherited a fraction of her mother's powers and upon reaching adulthood she joined other Crime Smashers members' descendants to form the Young Heroes Alliance.

Beauty and powerful, Miss Savage combined her courage and strength with her teammates' to fight against the shadowy foes that threaten freedom and justice all around the world. Uma fell in love with her teammate Kenneth Stevens, aka Icarus, with whom she soon afterwards married.

HISTORY 

Kenneth Stevens is the son of Drake and Jane Stevens, aka Air Man and Air Woman. Ken was an outstanding science student and developed his own flight suit from his father's gravitex technology. He joined other children of members of the Crime Smashers to form the Young Heroes Alliance. 

Ken and his partner at the group, Miss Savage, fell in love and not long after, the couple got married. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Stevens uses a "gravity belt" to regulate the flow of gravity around him allowing him to fly or lift extremely heavy objects. The suit can also create a g-shield that makes every attack Ken receives virtually laughable.

HISTORY

January, 1940. 

Professor Claude Stevens, a renowned ornithologist and engineer, was senselessly murdered. His son Drake was outraged and received no justice from the police. So Drake put together a costume consisting of a pair of Gravitex wings and some gadgets and went hunting for criminals. 

POWERS & WEAPONS 

Cosmium is a rare extra-terrestial gravity-repelling metal which is reduced to a substance called Gravitex. Gravitex made Drake's wings lighter than air. He also used a gun in several adventures.
